Class and Specialty Series Descriptions

The Basics Try this introductory class that meets once a week for four weeks. Learn origins, safe postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation methods. Comprehensive and non-intimidating. Question and answer time provided. Please call for pre-registration.

Hatha Yoga Perform physical postures for therapeutic benefits slowly and safely. Through physical postures, breathing, and restful meditation techniques to achieve sustained quieting of the mind.

Hot Yoga Practice vinyasa-style yoga in a heated, climate controlled environment to heal, detoxify, and exhilarate the mind, and body. This intense practice combines strength, sweat, and spirituality, with an emphasis on movement, flow, balance, and intention.

Kids Yoga Yoga practice specifically designed with kids in mind. Enhance flexibility, strength, coodination, and body awareness in children. Allow children to improve concentration, sense of calmness and relaxation. Yoga mats and props provided. Just bring your feet.

Pilates
Learn the conditioning program created by Joseph H. Pilates. Practice a flow of strength, balance and flexibility movements while maintaining physical and mental control. Strengthen your core or center (abdomen, lower back, hips and buttocks). Learn to breath efficiently, reduce fatigue, and gain mental clarity through exercise.

Power Yoga
Perform a succession of well-balanced yoga asanas that utilizes order, flow, and body heat to increase strength, flexibility, healing, and metabolic efficiency. Experience relaxation through hands-on energy release.

Pre/Postnatal Yoga
Maintain tone and range of motion during and after pregnancy. Learn several safe sequences of yoga poses designed for pregnancy. Learn benefits of fitness for mom and baby. Experience breathing and meditation techniques for yoga practice and beyond.

Strength & Wellness
This is a class for those who want to challenge themselves to a robust, highly physical practice which combines some of the best elements of Forrest Yoga (upper body and core strength), Iyengar Yoga (alignment and stability of postures), Vinyasa yoga (flowing postures together with the breath) and Anusara (isometric alignment and longer holds). This class also explores some of the more philosophical and spiritual sides of meditation and chakra balancing.

Awaken and open your body, mind and heart with an energizing flow of physical postures that integrate breath with movement to achieve quieting of the mind in preparation for the days activities.

Tai Chi

Vinyasa Flow
Open your body, mind and heart with a gentle flow of yoga postures. Open your hips, back and shoulders to prepare for meditation. Build strength throughout your entire body. Challenge your strength and flexibility from a flow of Ashtanga influenced poses in order to increase body heat and promote cleansing.
